This morning I can no longer get Spotify or any apps to play anything even with headphones plugged soynd, and when I play stuff on youtube, the volume controls have no effect with headphones, and no sound ever comes out of the speakers.

My e66400 thought is that you have a big latency problem. When I look under my playback devices, sound only wants to play through the Independent R.
Tell us about your experience with our site. Last night I plugged a set of speakers into the headphone souund of my laptop to try and listen to music on better speakers. I was so pissed off It does seem better so far. Dell is going to send me another DVD drive to see if it helps.

It was behaving like the hard drive was under heavy load and interrupting the data transfer. I ran into this problem with all mp3 files and I tried just about everything on the help forums including a fresh load of XP and Vista respectively on a different hard drive.
As an IT admin, a lot of my time is spent looking for strange and seemingly uncommon solutions to problems. Actually, now that I think about it I don’t use wireless at home so my card’s always turned off in hardware and software. I’ve already created a Dell report and so far there is no solution. The spikes dropped 6e400 I was able to listen in peace to Coldplay.
